Spelling Bee 2015

Thanks to all the volunteers who organized, staffed, and supported the 2015 Lucas Spelling Bee!  We had a great turnout of participants and observers.

Planting time is just around the corner in our Lucas garden!  Thanks again to Hy-Vee for supporting this great project by awarding $400 in grant money to our Outdoor Committee!

May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation Week

Thanks to everyone who helped kick off Teacher Appreciation Week with chalk messages!  Most of the messages were in covered spots that survived the rain.   The Teacher Appreciation Committee has other events planned for the week and encourages everyone to let our Lucas teachers know how much they mean to you!

School Supply Kit Ordering Now Open

Order brochures for pre-ordering school supply kits were sent home with students last week. The online ordering for next years school kits is open now until June 12th.  The web address is:  shopttkits.com and our school # is:  72011.  It saves the hassle of shopping in the crowds in the hot of August and the kits get delivered directly to Lucas.  Parents can pick up the kits on the Popsicles with the Principal night in August the week before school starts and bring the supplies directly to their student's class.
