General Music Concert Dates

At last night's PTO meeting, music teacher Nathan Kelley announced the 2010-11 General Music Concert dates. The dates are as follows:

Thursday, April 14, 2011
1 p.m. - 1:20 p.m. - Kindergarten
1:30 - 1:50 p.m. - 1st Grade

Thursday, April 21, 2011
1 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. - 2nd Grade
1:30 - 1:50 p.m. - 3rd Grade

Thursday, May 5, 2011
1 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. - 4th Grade
1:30 - 1:50 p.m. - 5th Grade

Sixth graders will perform at their graduation.

    I'm sorry to see the move to daytime concert times. The kids (and Mr. Kelly!) work hard, and it's been nice to have the easier accessiblity for people who either work outside of Iowa City or don't have much vacation time to ensure a good crowd to appreciate the fruits of their labors. It's also been fun to have the excitement of an evening concert.

    I agree. I think the attendance will be better if they are evening concerts.
