Make a Mighty Difference Tops 2010 Fundraiser

A mighty thanks to the entire Lucas community- parents, teachers, grandparents, neighbors, alumni, and local businesses- who stepped up to support Lucas Elementary school, giving (at last count) $10,525.14 $10,964 (updated October 11). This was our first attempt at a direct donation drive, and we were still able to surpass what our 2010 fall fundraiser brought in!  

As a result of your support, Lucas PTO will be able to continue to help Lucas teachers, provide classroom supplies and educational materials, and support new technology and outdoor learning initiatives. 

Although the formal campaign ends today, you can continue to support Lucas by attending a PTO meeting, by volunteering or — if you haven't done so yet — continue to donate to Lucas PTO any time of year by visiting or www.makeamightydifference.org or sending cash or check to the Lucas Elementary school office.  

If you have feedback regarding the 2011 Make a Mighty Difference campaign or ideas on how we could improve our fundraising efforts, consider attending the PTO meeting in April 2012, where we will dedicate time to discuss this topic. Stay tuned for details as the date approaches.
